Washington D.C.

Part One of Our Trip

We went to Washington DC.  In the beginning of our trip we went on the metro. They go so fast and they are underground! Below you can see a picture of me in the metro.

Next we went to the archives, which is the museum that has the original Declaration of Independence, the original Constitution, the original Bill of Rights and much more. (They even had a signature from Jackie Robinson.) Look below and you can see three pictures of the archives.

Next we went to capitol building in Washington D.C., which is really an amazing place. They have statues of every famous person from every state in the country. Can't you imagine how much that would be?  It was a lot. There was also a reflecting pool (which is like a pool for decoration) and famous capitol hill.  Look below and you can see a picture (that you actually can't see capitol hill in) of me and my brothers outside.

Next we went on a tour bus which made about three stops, and on the stops I got to be a conductor.  A conductor is somebody who counts people every time to make sure nobody gets on without paying or is left behind. We stopped by the Lincoln memorial the Jefferson memorial and the Martin Luther King memorial. Below you can see a picture of the Martin Luther King and an extra one of me as conductor.

I will be posting more about our trip soon.  This was just the first part!

I learned addition, subtraction, and multiplication. I also studied place values and fractions.  I  learned how to type.  I learned a poem called "Tree House." In history I learned lots of things. Like celts, vikings, romans, middle ages. Early american history and King Philip's war. I read lots of books.  Like Magic Tree house books. I'm reading Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone.   It is very good.  Wind in the Willows was the best. I read Runaway Ralph, and The Little Prince.  I also did anatomy.  It's very complicated.  In science we did magnets. We learned about volcanoes.
